Frequently Asked Questions
How often should I repeat the treatment?
Everyone is a bit different, but our recommendation is to do just 1 treatment every 5 to 7 days for the first 6 weeks. After the initial 6 weeks, some people may find that 1 treatment per week is right for them, yet others may find 1 treatment every 2 weeks is enough. Adjust treatments as you feel is right for your skin, but never more than 1 treatment in a 5 day period.

How long before I see results?
Using our home microdermabrasion kit, significant improvement of your skin's condition is generally very quick (1 to 4 treatments).
Is there "recovery" time involved?
Although, some may experience some slight redness or tingling during the first few treatments, there is virtually NO recovery time like you may experience after a professional micro dermabrasion or chemical peel procedure. Our home microdermabrasion kit delivers the closest professional results you can get without actually going to the spa.
Should I avoid the sun after a treatment?
You should avoid direct excessive sun exposure for the first 24 hours after a microdermabrasion treatment. We recommend performing the treatment at night and always use an adequate sunscreen to protect your skin from the sun.
How many treatments will this kit do?
Our home microdermabrasion kit contains everything you need to perform 15 to 20 facial treatments.
What does Microdermabrasion do exactly?
Microdermabrasion removes dead skin cells which helps reveal the lower skin layer referred to as the "dermis". This deep exfoliation process, helps initiate new cells to move forward. As the new cells move forward, collagen fibers are strengthened and excessive alkaline (ph) is balanced. Follicles that have been previously blocked by debris, dead skin cells and cellular dust are uncovered. As a result, rough textured skin will look smoother and shallow lines will be softened.
Microdermabrasion also helps to support the life of your skin by helping improve your collagen production. It also dramatically increases the effectiveness of your skin care products, since the nutrients, vitamins and minerals will no longer sit on top of your dead skin cells. With the removal of the dead skin cells and debris, now these nutrients can better penetrate into the lower layer of skin where they can work to revive, revitalize and nourish your skin.
Who can use Microdermabrasion?
Microdermabrasion can be used by practically anyone without regards to skin color, skin type or age. It helps keep skin looking young, toned and glowing with just 1 treatment every 1 to 2 weeks.
It can be used on skin with minor scars, thickened skin, blotchy skin and uneven textured skin. Microdermabrasion can also be used in other areas such as the neck, elbows, legs and feet along with the back of your hands (which tend to show age first).
Micro dermabrasion should not be used by people with severe or active acne, open wounds or skin infections.
