How Apple Cider Vinegar Can Lead To Better Skin

Most people would probably turn their heads at the thought of placing apple cider vinegar on their skin.

After all, this stuff has a fairly pungent odor that's not pleasing to be around; therefore common sense would tell you to avoid placing it on your skin. The truth is, however, that people have been using it to treat and cure a variety of skin conditions for thousands of years.

Ancient Roman and Egyptian civilizations were two of the many cultures who used this all-natural product on their skin. So, is there any real benefit to using it on the skin or is it all a marketing ploy by the manufacturing companies of apple cider vinegar?

First and foremost, let's take a look at what's inside apple cider vinegar. While there are many different brands and types on the market, most of them are made by crushing apples and allowing the juice to sit and ferment.

After the juice has been given an ample amount of time to ferment and become cider, it then possesses some unique characteristics that it regular apple juice doesn't have.

Apple cider vinegar is typically loaded with vitamin B1, B2, B6, C, niacin, folic acid and biotin.

Although, the greatest benefit that comes from apple cider vinegar is the naturally high acid content.

Apple Cider Vinegar for Sunburns

Whether you live on the beach or deep in the city, I think everyone has experienced a sunburn during some point in his or her life. Depending on the severity, a sunburn can easily make your life miserable.

The constant burning hot sensation that doesn't seem to go away forces you to place your shirts on very carefully. Of course trying to sleep at night is equally as uncomfortable when you have to avoid laying down on your back.

Thankfully, however, apple cider vinegar is widely known as one of the most effective ways to treat sunburns. Simply pour a small amount into a sponge and have a friend gently blot the sunburned areas of your body. You should immediately notice a sense of relief once the apple cider vinegar has been applied.

The reason why apple cider vinegar is such an effective tool at treating sunburns lies in its antiseptic properties that naturally kills microbes and relieves pain.

As previously stated, apple cider vinegar has a strong acidic content, so much that it can kill germs.

Using Apple Cider Vinegar To Treat Acne

The uses of apple cider vinegar isn't limited to just sunburns. If you're one of the millions of people suffering from facial or body acne, you should consider using this all-natural ingredient to treat it.

The key to using it as an acne treatment is to first dilute it with water so it's less intense. Try filling bottle up with 3 parts water and 1 part distilled vinegar.

Apply it to the most problematic areas on your body where you suffer from acne once a day.

Pay close attention to the moisture levels of your skin, as too much vinegar may increase the chance of it drying out. If your skin is drying out, dilute it with a greater amount of water.
